200 Kg Tabuan Melayu residents receive ‘bubur lambuk’, thanks to Ragad Foundation

KUCHING, April 12: The Ragad Foundation distributed “bubur lambuk” (spiced porridge) to 200 asnaf (less fortunate) residents of Kampung Tabuan Melayu today during as part of the foundation’s Ramadan charity programme.

Graced by founder and Ragad Foundation chairwoman Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, the programme was held this afternoon at Masjid Darussa’adah, Kampung Tabuan Melayu in Kuching.

She assisted in the cooking of the “bubur lambuk”, which is based on a well-known recipe from Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur, before distributing the spiced porridge packets to Kampung Tabuan Melayu residents.

Ragad Foundation, in collaboration with Al-Manjie Foundation, organised the “Program Jelajah Bubur Lambuk” with a total contribution of RM30,000.

Also present were Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Dr Hazland Abang Hipni and his wife Dayang Halimah Abang Paul, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, and Ragad Foundation chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Riffai Rudin Husain. — DayakDaily
