20 Unimas students invited to perform at 46th Bali Arts Festival

KUCHING, July 11: Twenty dancers from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) have been invited to perform cultural dances at the 46th Bali Arts Festival in Bali this year.

Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the dancers’ expenses are sponsored by the Sarawak government.

“We are proud because we (Sarawak) have been invited to send dancers and this shows that we are known by the organisers and our arts industry is growing,” he told TVS at the Bali Arts Festival in Bali today.

He also said Sarawak should learn from the island of Bali to improve its tourism and culture industry.

Bali Arts Festival 2024 started on June 15 and will run until July 13. — DayakDaily
