KUCHING, Feb 24: The Federal government has agreed to provide a loan repayment discount of up to 20 per cent to National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) borrowers for three months starting March 1, 2023.
Prime Minister-cum-Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this when tabling the revised Budget 2023 in Parliament today.
Meanwhile, PTPTN borrowers with a monthly income of RM1,800 and below are allowed to defer their loan repayments for a period of six months.
“Application for this postponement can be made from March 1, 2023,” said Anwar. — DayakDaily
