20 households in Sri Aman, Betong receive cash, food baskets from PM Dept’s Implementation Coordination Unit

KUCHING, April 14: Twenty households (KIR) under eKasih in Sri Aman and Betong have received cash and food baskets assistance from the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) in the Prime Minister’s Department.

ICU Sri Aman zone in a statement today said the contribution was handed over by ICU Sri Aman deputy director Radiah Muhamad during the two-day ‘Program Santuni Asnaf Bersama Pejabat Pembangunan Negeri Sarawak ICU JPM (Pejabat Zon Sri Aman)’.

The contribution was given out in three locations, namely Darul Na’aim Mosque in Kampung Melayu Engkelili, Darul Solihin Mosque in Debak, including door-to-door delivery in Pantu area.

The objective of the programme is to identify recipients who are categorised as poor and hardcore poor and to lighten their burden as Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches.

The programme was also initiated as a response to the government’s call to eradicate poverty through policy implementation. — DayakDaily
