KUCHING, Dec 1: Police issued 20 compounds for violations of standard operating procedures (SOP) over a 24-hour period.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, revealed that nine compounds were issued in Sibu, followed by Kuching (6), Padawan (3) and one each in Miri and Simunjan.
Meanwhile, the Local Government and Housing Ministry also issued 94 oral, written and seizure notices under Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) (30), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) (29), Marudi District Council (19), Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) (5), Serian District Council (5), Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) (3), Kuching South City Commission (MBKS) (2), and Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (1).
Compliance checks were also carried out on 1,353 premises throughout Sarawak involving 194 supermarkets, restaurants (285), factories (17), banks (120), government offices (54), hawkers (24), markets (57), houses of worship (66), recreational areas (36), construction sites (21) and others (479). ā DayakDaily
