2 men detained as police investigate murder at Lambir poultry farm

MIRI, Jan 24: Two local individuals, aged 36 and 46, have been detained to assist with investigations into the murder of a man inside a poultry farm in Lambir on Tuesday night (Jan 23), says Miri OCPS ACP Alexson Naga Chabu.

The suspects include the deceased’s employer and his uncle, as revealed by Alexson.


The victim, aged 42, was found unconscious on the ground inside the farm at approximately 10.29pm on Tuesday night.

Following the discovery, a Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team promptly arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.

Despite being rushed to Miri Hospital for medical treatment, the victim was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Alexson mentioned that injuries were found on the victim’s head and body, and the case is currently under investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
