MIRI, Nov 5: A one-year-old boy suffered an injury after his left hand became trapped between the gear and chain of a bicycle at his home in Jalan Mutiara 7, Vista Perdana, Miri, yesterday (Nov 4).
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call at 12.16pm and dispatched a team from Lopeng Fire Station, arriving at the scene at 12.24pm.

Using an adjustable spanner, they managed to detach the bicycle’s rear tire, freeing the boy’s trapped hand.
After the successful rescue, the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit administered first aid before transporting the victim to the hospital for further medical treatment. — DayakDaily
