Two officers from the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) also assisted in the rescue operation.
The rescue team began their trek towards the Painted Cave at 2.50 pm and reached the victim by 3.40 pm, approximately 5km from the park’s jetty, between the Great Cave and Painted Cave.
The firefighters carried the victim on a stretcher to the nearby Patrick Libau longhouse in Sungai Tangap, where she was handed over to SFC personnel at 4.45 pm.
The SFC then transported her to the Batu Niah clinic for medical attention.
