KUCHING, April 19: A 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to four charges of flashing his private parts to four different females, one charge of criminal trespass, and one charge of molesting a foreigner.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to all six charges presented before Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali. However, the Magistrate needs to hear the social report of the accused before passing sentence, as the accused is still under 21-years-old.
Magistrate Syarifah fixed May 24 to hear the social report of the accused. The accused has been released on RM10,000 bail with a local surety.
According to the first charge, the accused was found to have criminally trespassed into a 73-year-old man’s house located in Taman Kwong Thiong, Jalan Stephen Yong, at about 10.30pm on Dec 6, 2022.
He was charged under Section 447 of the Penal Code for this act, which carries a maximum of six months’ imprisonment or a maximum fine of RM3,000, or both upon conviction.
For the second through to the fifth charge, the accused was found to have flashed his private parts to four different victims aged between 20 and 35-years-old, at different places around the Padawan area, between Dec 6, 2022, and April 1, 2023.
He was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code for the acts, which carries a maximum of five years’ imprisonment or a fine, or both upon conviction.
According to the sixth charge, the accused was found to have molested a foreigner at the staircase of a building in MJC Batu Kawa, at about 7.30pm on April 8, 2023.
He was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code for this act, which carries a maximum of 10 years’ imprisonment or a fine or both upon conviction.
It was understood that the accused had followed the victim from behind and when he found that the victim was alone and in a quiet place, the accused flashed his private parts and invited the victim to have sex with him.
The accused even went to the extent of trespassing into the victim’s house.
Prosecuting Officers Inspector Mohd Adzmei Ahmad, Inspector Merylene Lindan Andrew Mang, and Inspector Nur Syafiqa Nyaie Ilin prosecuted the case separately while the accused was unrepresented by counsel. — DayakDaily
