KUCHING, May 15: A total of 19 individuals were sworn in following their reappointment as political secretaries to the Sarawak Premier during a ceremony held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) today.
In a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Those reappointed from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) were Sarkawi Suhaili, Fridah Osman, Petrus Igat Mathias, Abdul Samat Kethergany, Dr Dayang Nurfizawati Abang Abdul Karim, John Nyigor, Damen Rejek, Sayed Azmee Wan Junaidi, Awangku Jinal Abedin Dato Pengiran Jawa, Dominic Nyurang Ajang, Watson Awan Jalai, Afiq Fikri Brahim, Hajis Japar Labaw, and Collin Patan.
Also sworn in were Fung Kok Shiun and Joshua Ting Fu Ying from the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), Susan Clement Ingun and Thomas Balan Bang from Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), as well as Niponi Undek from the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP).
Among those present were DUS Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar; Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU, and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi; Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni; and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration, and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala.
Also in attendance were Chief Political Secretary to the Sarawak Premier Dato Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Stakan assemblyman Datuk Hamzah Brahim, Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, Telang Usan assemblyman Dato Dennis Ngau, and other dignitaries. — DayakDaily
