KUCHING, Sept 8: The 18th Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Sarawak Fair 2023 is scheduled to take place from Oct 7 to 8 at AEON Mall here.
Oscar Choo, Chairman of MATTA Sarawak, announced during a press conference that their goal is to draw around 10,000 daily visitors and achieve targeted sales exceeding RM4 million during the two-day fair.
“We currently have 45 booths, and the main highlight of the fair will be the sea cruise, where new packages and destinations are now open,” he said.
Choo highlighted the travel deals and offers available through their partnership with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) and emphasized that the cruise deals cover operators in the Southeast Asia region, depending on the packages visitors choose.
He mentioned that visitors can expect a comprehensive showcase of destinations, travel packages, and experiences catering to various types of travelers.
“Our exhibitors, including airlines, tour operators, and national tourist organisations (NTO), have put in extra effort to curate packages that not only offer great value but also prioritise safety and sustainability,” he added.
Admission to the fair is free, and it will be open from 10 am to 10 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
