KUCHING, Nov 17: A 15-year-old plantation worker was among six individuals arrested during a police raid on a house in Roban, Saratok last night (Nov 16).
Saratok District Police Chief DSP Mathew Manggie said the operation also led to the seizure of 24.86 gram of methamphetamine worth RM2,734.60.
“During the raid, police detained five men and one woman aged between 15 and 45.
“We also seized a bag containing a large and a small transparent plastic packet filled with crystal-like substances believed to be syabu,” he said in a statement today.
Mathew further said the 45-year-old unemployed man who tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine, has eight previous records.
“Initial investigation revealed that the suspect admitted to being involved in drug distribution in the Roban and Saratok areas since 2023.
“He also confessed that he last distributed drugs in May this year and had been obtaining his supply from a local man in Kabong,” he added.
All six suspects are being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
