DARO, Dec 26: A 14-year-old boy is feared to have been attacked by a crocodile while fishing for prawns near Sungai Kelai jetty, close to Jingga Longhouse on Pulau Bruit.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Daro responded to the incident at around 5.45pm after being informed by the Daro District Police Headquarters today.
Three fire personnel promptly travelled 36 km to the scene, joining police officers and local villagers in a search operation to locate the missing teenager.
The boy is believed to have been attacked in the vicinity of Kampung Sebako-Sedi.
Despite their efforts, the boy remained unaccounted for.
The search operation was temporarily suspended at 6.30pm and is scheduled to resume tomorrow (Dec 27). — DayakDaily
