SIBU, April 2: Catholic High School headmaster Anthony Tay is bald and so are three of his teachers. In fact, 104 students in the school are also bald.

Is this a new ‘hairstyle’ or trend to beat the heat, now that ‘summer’ has hit the state?

The answer is no.

Tay led 139 others, including 32 alumni, from his school to shave for a good cause – help children who have been inflicted with cancer.

The “Go Bald” initiative was held at the school today, and the 140 of them who stepped forward managed to raise a total of RM28,530 for the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society.

Two more ‘Go Bald’ activities will be held here, at Sibu Water Board on April 13 and at Delta Mall on May 19.

According to Pau Kiew Chuang, committee member of the Society, they hope to round up more than 425 people here for this good cause. — DayakDaily
