SRI AMAN, Aug 25: A total of 135 residents from two longhouses in Kampung Krubong, Engkilili here, were affected by flooding today.
In a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the two longhouses were Rh Buja (12 doors) and Rh Maria (23 doors).

According to the villagers, the water had begun to rise up to three feet high at the longhouses at 4am.
Around 10.50am, Bomba personnel arrived at the scene and found the water level reaching 5 feet high.
Among the 45 residents of Rh Buja, two suffered strokes.
The flood victims were then reported to have been evacuated to SK Merbong which is located uphill nearby. — DayakDaily
