Private sectors in Phase 3 areas now allowed to have 80 pct workforce capacity

KUCHING, Aug 13: The private sector in Sarawak is now allowed to work at 80 per cent capacity at any one time in Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), except for the southern zones that are still in Phase 2.

The workforce for the private sector in Kuching, Lundu, Bau, Serian, Tebedu, Samarahan, Asajaya and Simunjan is still capped at 50 per cent only.

The latest standard operating procedures (SOP) for NRP Phase 3 which was released by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today said only employers, operators and employees who have completed their double dose vaccinations are allowed to be back at work.

“Employers are responsible for determining the work cycle to comply with these instructions,” said the committee.

As for the public sector, the operating capacity remains subjected to the circular and instructions issued by the State and Federal Secretary of Sarawak. — DayakDaily
