12 teams from Singapore, Malaysia to compete in 2nd Kuching Invitational Water Polo Cup from Nov 23-26

The 2nd Kuching Invitational Water Polo Cup is set to take place from Nov 23 to 26 at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre.

KUCHING, Nov 14: The highly anticipated ‘2nd Kuching Invitational Water Polo Cup’ competition is set to take place from Nov 23 to 26 at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre.

Organised by the Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC), 12 teams will be participating, bringing together some of the best talents in the sport.

According to a statement, the teams that will be competing include the PASC, Pacer Water Polo Academy, Negeri Sembilan Tridents Water Polo, SRIKL Sharkies Water Polo, Chinese Swimming Club from Singapore, Saint Polo Singapore, Aegir Water Polo Club from Singapore, and Speedi-28D from Singapore.


For the ‘Boy U16’ category, there will be seven teams from Singapore, one from Selangor, one from Negeri Sembilan, and one from Sarawak.

Meanwhile, the ‘Women U20’ category will feature one team from Negeri Sembilan and one from Sarawak.

In the previous edition of the Kuching Water Polo Cup held in 2022, the Chinese Swimming Club from Singapore emerged as the champion in the Boys U16 category.

The first runner-up title went to 28D Quicksilver from 28 Degree Aquatics Singapore, while the Taiwan Water Polo Club secured the second runner-up position.

In the Women’s Open category, Kusuma Harapan Indonesia from Jakarta was crowned the champion.

The Women Water Polo (WMWP) Team grabbed first runner-up, while the PASC Water Polo Club earned second runner-up. — DayakDaily
