12 entertainment venues in Kuching fined during Ops Noda

KUCHING, June 13: Twelve entertainment premises in Kuching were fined for various offenses during Ops Noda, an operation conducted by the police and Kuching South City Council (MBKS).

Kuching District Police Chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah stated that the operation, which began at 9pm on June 12 and concluded at 4am on June 13, involved inspections of 25 premises under MBKS jurisdiction.

“As the result of the inspection, 12 premises were found to have violated their license condition.

“Among the offenses are operating without an entertainment license, modifying and constructing performance stage on second floor of the premise, having live band performances under a food and beverage license, including opening two business premise lots using only one license,” he said.

He added that all the premises were compounded RM3,000 for each offenses. — DayakDaily
