Delivering his winding-up speech during the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) sitting today, he said the strong implementation rate reflected the State government’s continued commitment to balanced development and service delivery across Sarawak.

For the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), he said a total ceiling of RM900 million has been approved for the implementation of 4,534 new RTP projects Statewide.

“As of April 2026, out of the RM350 million allocation approved for this year, RM141.2 million or 40.4 per cent has already been expended,” he said.

He added that the implementation of Projek Rakyat (PR) also remains one of the Sarawak government’s key initiatives to improve people’s well-being and provide adequate infrastructure throughout the State.

Since its introduction in 2018, Uggah said 404 PR projects had been successfully completed as of the end of 2025, involving total expenditure amounting to RM3.89 billion.

According to him, the projects have contributed towards improving quality of life, stimulating local economic activities, generating employment opportunities and enhancing connectivity between urban and rural areas.

Under the 12MP, RM310 million had been allocated for PR implementation with RM212.3 million or 88 per cent already expended.

“For the 2026 Budget under the 13MP, RM70 million has been allocated, of which RM22.5 million or 32 per cent has been spent to date.

“Overall, the programme has benefited 68,423 families across Sarawak since it was introduced with total expenditure reaching RM558 million,” he said. — DayakDaily
