KUCHING, Oct 3: A one-meter deep sinkhole was reported to have appeared at SK Satri Jaya in Taman BDC today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, they received call regarding the incident at 1.29pm and deployed Bomba Tabuan Jaya to the location.

The operation commander reported that the sinkhole, which is 6ft by 6ft wide, caused the crack on the school’s drainage channel.
The area was later cordoned off by a safety line installed by the teacher before the arrival of firefighters.
No casualties were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
