MIRI: Police put an end to the dealings of a small time syabu lovers following a raid in Kampung Lopeng yesterday.

The suspect, believed to be lovers, aged 28 and 47 was detained together with 21.06 gramms of syabu.

Miri Deputy Police Chief Superintendent Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the raiding team from the District Narcotics Police found 25 translucent plastic packaging containing crystals believed to be syabu.

“The packages were found on their bed,” said Stanley.

Also seized includes digital weighing scale and other paraphernalia.

Stanley also said, checks revealed that both suspects do not have previous drug related cases but both suspects’ urine test proved to be positive during the raid.

Both suspects are remanded pending investigation and the case is investigated under Section 39A (1) Dangerous Drug Act 1952 and Section 15 (1) (a) of the same act. – dayakdaily.com
