KUCHING: Two Chinese men have been arrested for possessing RM3 million worth of illegal substances believed to be Syabu and Ecstasy pills.
The police seized more than 10 kilogrammes of a substance believed to be Syabu and more than 1,000 pills believed to be Ecstasy during a raid on a house here.
State Narcotics Crime Investigations Department (NCID) head Supt Sahar Abdul Latif confirmed the case.
According to Sinchew Daily, on the afternoon of Sept 21, the raid was conducted at Stutong Resettlement Area where two Chinese in their 20s were arrested.
The police found the illegal substances in the store room of the main suspect.
Urine tests on the two suspects tested positive for drugs.
The police will investigate the case under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
