KUCHING: North Korea has declared today that it has tested a nuclear weapon after hours an earth tremor was detected.

This was the sixth nuclear test carried out by the communist state, according to BBC news.

It was reported that the quake was 9.8 times more powerful than the tremor created in the previous test.

Hours after the quake, Pyongyang claimed to have miniaturised a hydrogen bomb to test the loading of a long-range missile.
