Month-long water woes may force SMK Balai Ringin to close down

Balai Ringin town and its surrounding areas have been facing water shortage problems.

KUCHING: The month-long water shortage in Balai Ringin may force SMK Balai Ringin to close down temporarily.

According to a reliable source, due to the long period of water woes, SMK Balai Ringin which houses 2,000 boarders may have to close down for a while and all boarders will be sent home.

Meanwhile, Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDSB) has also issued a press statement highlighting the water problem in Balai Ringin.

“Balai Ringin town and residents within the vicinity have been facing water woes for at least one month now due to low water pressure.

“According to one resident, the people there has been consuming muddy and unsafe water,” said PBDSB.


The Youth wing of the party urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter seriously.
