Masing: PRS leaders always looking to improve themselves

KUCHING: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) leaders recently attended a Finesse Workshop to continue to refine and improve themselves.

A total of 38 participants attended the one-day course conducted by Dr Dianne Tsen, a local consultant who has a decade of experience in academic teaching, marketing, branding and image consulting.

The participants included all of PRS’ six parliamentarians, 11 state assemblymen and their spouses. The party’s Youth and Women leaders were also present.

Participants listen attentively to Tsen.

PRS president Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing said he had insisted that all the PRS top brass attend the workshop because learning is always a lifelong experience.

“It is never too late to learn and there is always something new to pick up if we are humble enough.

“Some of the leaders may have gone through such courses before but I believe there is something new that they can always learn.

“The main thing is, as leaders, we should always improve ourselves so as not to be left behind or crossed [sic] over. This is crucial.

“Time does not stop and new things keep cropping up. We should not cease learning and continue to refine ourselves to be better than yesterday.

“This is our duty to those who have the confidence in us and cast their votes for us,” Masing, who is also Deputy Chief Minister, said in a statement today.

He said the workshop had received active participation and the whole one-day session was quite relaxed and fun.

“I was very impressed with their positive and enthusiastic participation. It was not only a training session for us but also a good opportunity for us to get together in a meaningful and constructive manner,” said the Infrastructure Development and Transportation Minister.

He said PRS will continue to provide training for its leaders regardless of how long these leaders have been serving in the political arena.
