BINTULU: A construction worker lost his life after he was involved in a self accident at about 7.40pm last night at Jambatan Kemena 2, Jalan Bintulu-Bakun.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief, Superintendent Alexson Naga Chabu said the deceased, Rendall Given Wan Anak Nanta, 19, of Rumah Chaong, Sungai Labang Sebauh lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the roadside.
“Paramedics from Bintulu Hospital pronounced him dead at the scene due to serious head injuries,” he said.
Supt Alexon said prior to the accident, the deceased was travelling from Bakun towards Tubau when he lost control of his motorcycle.
The victim’s body was then sent to the Bintulu Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987. — DayakDaily.
