LIMBANG: A huge crocodile was spotted in a residential area here but has since been captured and removed by a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) team.
The 15-foot long reptile caused a disturbance and public panic after surfacing at Westlake Centre, Limbang Housing here this morning.
Its appearance prompted members of the public to call Bomba.
“We received the report at 7.36am and arrived a few minutes later,” said Bomba in a statement.
It took them half-an-hour to capture the crocodile.
A forklift was then used to lift the scaly beast onto a fire truck.
It was later sent to the local Bomba Station where it will be handed over to Sarawak Forestry Corporation.
