KUCHING, Oct 25: A 24-year-old father claimed trial to three charges of sexually assaulting his 11-year-old daughter.

The 24-year-old accused pleaded not guilty to all three charges framed under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Sessions Court Judge Maris Agan fixed November 25 for further mention of the case and allowed the accused to be released on bail of RM6,000 with one local surety.

The accused was charged with hugging his 11-year-old daughter’s body, kissing her chin, touching her breast, putting his body on the victim’s body, and putting his finger in the victim’s private part, at an unnumbered house in Matang Mile 12, on September 28, 2021, September 30 and October 3.

The accused fathered the victim at the age of 13. However, the accused had divorced the victim’s mother and the victim is currently staying with her maternal grandmother.
