KUCHING, Oct 16:  Sarawakians planning to return home from other Malaysian states no longer need to apply through the EnterSarawak app.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily Covid-19 update said returning Sarawakians only have to complete and submit the e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF).

They are also not required to undergo a Covid-19 screening before entering Sarawak but must produce evidence of their completed vaccination status and a status of “low risk” or “asymptomatic casual contact” in the MySejahtera app.

According to SDMC, there will be an inspection of each individual’s MySejahtera status before these individuals are allowed to board a plane or a vessel; or at an Immigration and Customs Quarantine Complex (ICQ).

Meanwhile, for individuals who have yet to be fully vaccinated and wish to enter Sarawak, it is mandatory for them to apply through the EnterSarawak app.

Apart from that, they need to fill in the eHDF and show proof of a negative rt-PCR or RTK Antigen result which should be done within three days before entering Sarawak. Self-test kit results will not be accepted.

Their MySejahtera app must also display “Low Risk” or “Asymptomatic Casual Contact”.

SDMC added that MySejahtera and EnterSarawak inspections will be conducted before these individuals are allowed to board a plane or a vessel or at an ICQ.

“These individuals may be requested to undergo quarantine at home or at a quarantine station for 10 days, subject to a risk assessment by a health officer,” said SDMC.

Meanwhile, children under the age of 12 must undergo Covid-19 screening when entering Sarawak if their parents or guardians have yet to be fully vaccinated. — DayakDaily
