KUCHING, Oct 29: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing says cybertroopers should make informed comments instead of making a fool out of themselves.
He said he was shocked to discover that some cybertroopers’ comments reflected much ignorance.
“I was reading some posts on social media and was surprised to read that some so-called ‘educated’ cybertroopers couldn’t differentiate between Budget 2018 and Malaysia Plan,” said Masing in a press statement today.
He explained that Budget 2018 is a yearly plan of how a country spends its income while a Malaysia Plan is a projection plan for five years.
“Let me give an example of such ignorance. Some criticised the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) for allocating only RM2 billion for the Pan Borneo Highway and said that with that kind of allocation, the Pan Borneo Highway would be a kampung (village) road standard highway.
“I would like to suggest to these guys, it would be better for them to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt,” said Masing who is also Infrastructure Development and Transportation Minister. — DayakDaily
