CM visits prominent Chinese IT solution provider

KUCHING, Dec 7: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg visited Fiberhome Headquarters, Wuhan today to gain insight into IT solution provision as part of his effort to digitise Sarawak’s economy.

Officials from Fiberhome which is China’s foremost global IT solution provider, led Abang Johari and his delegation on a conducted tour of its facility, after a briefing on the general operation of the company.

The company provides solutions in four major areas namely fibre-optic communications, data networking communications, wireless communication, and intelligentizing applications.

This is Abang Johari’s third day in China, after travelling from Beijing to Wuhan in Hubei Province which is in central part of China.

This leg of his visit was part of the state’s effort to gain insight into IT solution provision in Sarawak’s quest to digitise its economy.

Later today, the chief minister flew south to Guangzhou for the last leg of this working visit to China. — DayakDaily
