SIBU: Tamin State Assemblyman Christopher Girang Sambang suggested the setting up of a casino and theme park in Tunoh which has been envisaged to become an ecotourism centre in the next 15 years.
This is to attract more tourists coming to Sarawak and boost the state’s tourism industry.
He said this is something to think about apart from developing the rich culture of the multi-ethnic Sarawakians and the state’s beautiful nature as tourism products.
“Why not, we can have a theme park and a casino set up in Tunoh to boost state’s tourism industry. It is however my personal suggestion,” he said when officiating Blowpipe Competition organised by Sibu Blowpipe Club as part of the Borneo Dayak Cultural Festival (BDCF) Sibu Town Square here today.
