KUCHING: iPhone users who are experiencing hiccups with their devices may now download the iOS 11.0.3 software update which was released early this morning.
A spokesperson from an authorised iPhone service centre here told DayakDaily that iOS 11.0.3 was released early this morning and iPhone users may download it to ensure smooth operation of their handphones.
He said iOS 11.0.2 had been problematic where “there were bugs to fix” and installing iOS 11.0.3 will be able to rectify the problems.
“iOS 11.0.3 will fix call-related issues for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It will also help to improve the software performance for other models of iPhones,” said the spokesperson.
He was responding to remarks from an iPhone user who had informed DayakDaily of the latest iOS 11.0.3 update that is now available to all iPhone users.
“I have been having some call problems with my iPhone recently. I did not realise it until yesterday when I was told by my friends that they could not reach me on my phone.
“So I went to an iPhone service centre and they informed me that iOS 11.0.2 was faulty and had been problematic.
“Then they told me to just download the latest iOS 11.0.3 and my iPhone should be okay. And I did, and my iPhone is working perfectly.”
This user said he was writing to DayakDaily to get the story out so that those using iPhones might have an idea of what has been going on.
“I did not realise that I have been missing calls recently, until I accidentally met up with a friend who told me that I had been unreachable since three days ago when I updated my iPhone with iOS 11.0.2,” said the reader.
iOS 11.0.3 is Apple’s third official update to the new iOS 11 operating system. iOS 11.0.3 comes a little over one week after Apple released iOS 11.0.2 which fixed an issue causing crackling sounds to come from the iPhone 8 earpiece, and almost one month after the official release of iOS 11.
According to its official release, today’s update addresses bugs and issues that have been discovered since the release of iOS 11.0.2.
The update fixes issues related to haptic feedback and the touchscreen.
It also fixes an issue where audio and haptic feedback would not work on some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices as well as addresses an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone 6s displays because they were not serviced with genuine Apple parts.
