KUCHING: Three divisional branches of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) have given their full support for the leadership of its president Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing, state Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
These three divisional branches were Baleh, Pelagus and Katibas.
The support came through the resolutions the three divisional branches had made during their annual general meeting held today (Sept 24) at Dewan Suarah Kapit.
Meanwhile, other resolutions included urging the federal government to provide more funds for the building of rural roads especially the Sungai Tunoh Access road and Tatau-Nanga Merit Road.
A resolution was also passed to urge the federal government to set up Internet infrastructure in Hulu Rajang.
The two development requests from PRS Baleh, Pelagus and Katibas were made with the hope that the development of the rural Hulu Rajang constituency may be accelerated as a whole.
The resolutions reached during the AGM will be presented to Najib who is the prime minister at a meeting scheduled on Sept 28, in Kuala Lumpur.
PRS will form a 160-member delegation comprising delegates who are all from Rajang River Basin to meet up with Najib.
